Helping to commemorate World War I

My First Contribution

Womans Weekly magazine are asking the nation to knit or crochet poppies to commemorate the start of WWI this year and there's still time for you to get involved. The closing date for receipt of your contributions is 31st May.

Working alongside The Royal British Legion this six month project aims to collect as many as poppies as possible which will then be made into wreaths to be placed on war memorials around the country.

Find out more at this link. Womans Weekly where you can also download your free pattern.

My first poppy was knitted using Rico essentials cotton dk...beautiful bright colours.
